MES, Inc purchases will include sales tax based on your shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is billed. If you phone in your order, the Sales Representative will provide an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. If the sales tax rate for the state to which your order is being shipped changes before the product is shipped, the rate in effect at the time your order is invoiced will apply.
MES, Inc. is required by law to collect sales tax in: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, MD, MA, ME, MN, MO, MS, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NC, NY, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and WV.
MES, Inc. does not collect sales tax in the following states: AK, AR, HI, DE, KY, MI, MT, ND, NH, OH, OR, RI, VT and WY.
MES, Inc. does not profit from the collection of sales tax and promptly pays all applicable government agencies.
Tax-Exempt Orders If your order is being placed on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, please call MES Customer Service at 1-877-711-5557. Please be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is shipping. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate.
Shipping and Fast Delivery
MESFire.com uses FedEx Ground as the preferred method of delivery within the Continental United States.
Deliveries outside the continental United States to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, APO/FPO and P.O. Boxes will be shipped via United States Postal Service at the standard ground rates listed below. Please allow for extended delivery times with these shipments. With the exception of APO/FPO and P.O. Boxes, you may alternatively choose 2nd day air or next day air from FedEx at the rates listed in the shipping table below.
Be advised that APO/FPO Shipments may be subject to export restrictions and some items may require an export license and can delay your shipment. Please contact a customer service representative at 1-877-711-5557 should you have any questions or concerns.
Customers should expect an extended delivery time when:
- Merchandise is shipped directly from the manufacturer
- Merchandise is on back order from the manufacturer
- Merchandise requires any personalization/embellishment
- Shipment is destined for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, P.O. Box or APO/FPO address
